For PR practitioners to grow as professionals we need to continue to learn - either "on the job" where someone more experienced has the time to share their knowledge and provide some insight or advice; or it could be participating in conferences, worskshops and formal training programs. 

Associate members of MEPRA have to commit to at least 10 hours of continual professional development (CPD) each year they are a member of the association.   Full members should also participate in knowledge sharing events - from both a learning and sharing perspective.

CPD can be a range of activities, from those mentioned above (conference, workshop or training) to presenting on a case study or issue to a peer group and being part of a mentoring programme. 

Over time MEPRA will introduce a number of initiatives to help practitioners continue to learn. In the meantime these pages will provide information on trainers currently providing courses in the UAE - either public or customised, as well as schools and full time educational institutions that include public relations in their mass communications courses.
